Pathway to High School

When the time arrives, we'll help prepare your child to continue their education at a Catholic, independent or government high school.

Just like starting school, transitioning from primary school to high school is another important step in the education of your child.

When your child is in their final year, she or he will attend information days at the chosen secondary school with friends who will be commencing with them. It isn't uncommon for your child to have encountered students from the high school they will go to through music, sports and culture exchanges.

In line with the strategic direction of Catholic Education South Australia, St Augustine's School will become a Reception to Year 6 school in 2019 as Year 7 becomes the first year of education in Catholic High Schools.

High school options in the Salisbury area

Thomas More College is the secondary school in the Salisbury Parish and is the natural progression for many of our students. We have a particularly good relationship with the school.

Providing flexibility in curriculum and academic pathways, Thomas More has a well-being structure which supports the social and emotional growth of young adolescents.

Other Catholic secondary school options in the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide include Gleeson College (co-educational) and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (girls only).

If you wish to discuss your child's transition to high school, please contact us.

Acknowledgement of Country:
We acknowledge the Kaurna people as traditional custodians of the land on which we meet and pay our respects to the Elders past, present and future, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of Indigenous Australia.
